This 28-day digestive reset program is designed to give your digestive system a break from some of the difficult to digest foods and introduce foods that will provide nourishment while supporting digestive function.

This 28-day digestive reset program is designed to give your digestive system a break from
some of the difficult to digest foods and introduce foods that will provide nourishment while
supporting digestive function.

Week One – Remove / Rest

The focus this week is removing key dietary triggers that can cause digestive upset for
some people e.g. FODMAPs. This will take the pressure off your digestive system and give
it a chance to reset. We will also discuss the option of fasting which can be helpful for
cleansing, calming the digestive tract, and removing aggravating triggers.

Week Two – Replace & Repair

The focus this week is on supporting the production of digestive enzymes and secretions to
assist the breakdown and assimilation of the food you eat. We will also focus on replacing
valuable nutrients known to support and repair the delicate mucous membrane of the gut
lining. Healing the gut can take time and we want to create the right environment to allow
this to take place.

Week 3 – Repopulate

This week we will discuss factors that affect our microbiome. There will be a focus on
including fermented foods and prebiotic foods in the meal plan to help promote a diverse
range of beneficial bacteria within our gut.

Week Four – Rebalance

A focus on the gut-brain axis looking at the role of stress, lifestyle patterns, exercise, and
sleep. It is important to understand that your central nervous system directly influences your
gastrointestinal function. The way you deal with stress is therefore equally important in
facilitating healing.
