Low Mood / Depression / Anxiety

Depression is estimated to affect over 264 million people worldwide and is the leading cause of disability. For decades, the main treatment option has been the trial-and-error use of psychiatric medications intended to address neurotransmitter imbalances.  However, there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that food and nutrients could play an important role in preventing and treating depression.

At Beoga, we aim to understand the complex ways in which what we eat influences our brain, mood, and mental health.

We know that there is an association between the quality of our diet and symptoms of depression.

We therefore work with clients to help them understand how the foods they are eating are affecting their body and design bespoke dietary programs to help them feel better.  We sometimes use supplements in addition to diet or may recommend some further testing (if necessary)
